Dominance Hierarchies vs Information based Hierarchies

Reading Jordon Peterson and thinking that we both see hierarchies in nature and the humanities, however, we see very different types of hierarchies.

Jordon Peterson argues for a top down type of hierarchy while I propose bottom up hierarchies.

For me the at the base of nature is a requirement for communication, for him domination or competence.  For me efficient communication requires hierarchies, abstraction.  Abstraction can happen in a top down or bottom up way, I have been arguing for a bottom up method of unsupervised abstractions.
