Thinking of my mother on her Yartzeit, and her specialization treating trauma, she was a strong proponent of EMDR, connecting thought, speech and action.

I am thinking that trauma occurs when we remember and don't learn. Hence the same mechanism that enable and enhance learning should help trauma and vice verse, things that inhibit learning should inhibit recovery from trauma
