bootstrap - פגישה במערכת חיצונית

הרב רפפורט שאל, מהי הדרך שבו פוגשים מערכת חיצונית, למשל כיצד הגר שבא להתגייר צריך לדעת מה זה הקב״ה, מה זה להיות יהודי, הרי אין לא שפה משותשפת?

שאלה דומה היא כיצד אפשר לצוות על אמונת ה׳, מי מצווה?  נדמה לי שהר׳ חסדאי קרשקש שאל את השאלה הזו, וגם ראיתי לאחרונה בספרו של חכם יוסף פאור, ובזמנו עניתי שקרית שמע היא פעולה שיוצרת את היכולת לחיוב מצוות.  קודם קבלה של תורה שבכתב, דבר חיצוני לאדם (דברת בם, תפילין, מזוזה), ומתוך הקריאה החיצונית, ללא תורה שבעל פה כביוכל, נוצרת מציונות של מצווה, חיצונית לאדם.  ומזה נוצר שלב שני של חיוב, המצווה על קיום מצוות (פרשה שניה...)

Basic idea how to start learning (or making estimations) without having all the data.

Might be analogous to how to learn about the Torah without complete knowledge of all the Mitzvot.

The solution is to take samples, create models, then ensemble learning with the models.

I think a different way of formulating this (more semiotic) is that before you meet/interact/communicate with the unknown, organize your internal systems and mapping.  This is akin to creating multiple internal models.   Then when you meet the unknown, you choose from the internal models which is most appropriate.  This as opposed to trying to understand what the new thing is, instead you have a pre-set limited number of internal models to choose from.
